Sankofa (Year 4?)

Rev Dr Michelle Bentley sent me this yesterday, it also was distributed on the APIC listserv.  I believe this is the fourth year of the event (I'll find out for sure) and I'm happyt o see it happening again.  There have not been a lot of young women of color here, but with a little outreach and invitation, I believe this can change.

The SANKOFA gathering of clergy, seminarians, and lay women of Color/Latinas
will happen

at General Assembly 2005!!

Please come...

 


We meet as lay and clergy women of Color and Latinas to celebrate life
and our accomplishments
as leaders within the Unitarian Universalist Movement.
We meet and give honor to UU leaders/elders!
At this Sankofa gathering we will be together for ritual, poetry, and song
and to rededicate ourselves to the Movement and to Life.

WHERE:         The People of Color (POC) Networks Room provided by the General Assembly Planning Committee through the Identity-Based Ministries Staff Group. 

POC Networks Room for GA 2005 is in the Ft. Worth Convention Center Room 120

WHEN:  Friday, June 24 from 10:00pm to 12:00 midnight. 
Program - 10:00pm
