25 to 1: People of Color Experiences in Unitarian Universalism 1980-2005

My senior thesis for Harvard Divinity School, an extensive collection of stories People of Color in Unitarian Universalism.  175 pages.  You have my blessing and gratitude to share.

May 31, 2006 Update - I've made a number of small edits, and changed the line spacing from double to 1.5, reducing the pages to 145.  If you would like a PDF copy, please email me at jsantoslyons@post.harvard.edu.

so excited! congratulations on completing your thesis and on crafting such an incredible and crucial project.

will you be at GA? if so, can we make a date to talk about seminary and life and organizing and everything? or a phone date before then? i would really, really love to catch up one-on-one.

much love to you and your beautiful family,
betty jeanne

also, i have to say that this semester, while writing a case analysis paper on the UUA's Youth Ministry Consultation, i appreciated historical documentations like Wayne and Rebecca's "We Would Be One", but it was apparent to me in all of the research I read that the histories of UU youth movements have been so whitewashed, that the voices of People of Color are so often missing or tokenized, AHHHH i don't want to get started on your blog, just thank you for helping give power to a voice that's so often squashed or made invisible by the systemic power of racism....

holy crap i can't comment enough... i saw you used "queer(y)ing religious ed" by ibrahim (formerly elias) farajaje as one of your sources. i am in LOVE with that piece, it has been one of the most crucial sources of inspiration for me at Starr King so far. okay okay i'm done!

The book "White Male Privilege" might help fight against racism. Amazon.co.uk has a synopsis.
